Plan Your Visit

Everything you need to know before you come through our doors for the first time.

We Are Glad You’re Considering a Visit

Walking into a church for the first time — or the first time in a long time — can feel daunting. We understand that. Our hope is that this page answers your practical questions before you arrive, so that when you do walk in, you can focus on what matters most: encountering God and meeting real people.

Centrepointe is a friendly, multigenerational congregation. You will not be asked to raise your hand as a newcomer, sign anything, or give anything. Just come, find a seat, and let us take it from there.

Welcome visitors to Centrepointe Christian Reformed Church

What You Need to Know

When to Arrive

Our main Sunday service begins at 9:30 AM. We suggest arriving 10 minutes early so you have time to find a seat, pick up a bulletin, and say hello to someone before things get started. The service runs approximately 75–80 minutes.

Where to Find Us

5940 159 Ave NW
Edmonton, Alberta T5Y 0J5

We are located in northeast Edmonton. Parking is available in the church parking lot. Look for the main entrance — our welcome team will be there to greet you.

What to Wear

There is no dress code at Centrepointe. You will see people in everything from casual jeans to business attire. Come in whatever you feel comfortable wearing — what matters is that you are here, not what you have on.

Families with Children

We love families and we love children. Young children are welcome in the main service. Partway through, children ages 4–10 are invited to Children's Church. A nursing room is also available for parents with infants.

What Happens in the Service

A typical service includes congregational singing, Scripture reading, prayer, a 25–30 minute sermon, and a benediction. Song lyrics and service text are projected on screen, so you do not need to bring anything.

After the Service

Following the service, we gather for coffee and conversation. This is an excellent time to meet people, ask questions, or simply take in the community. Our welcome team will look out for new faces — don't hesitate to introduce yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a Christian to attend?

Not at all. You are welcome to attend regardless of where you are in your faith journey — whether you are a committed believer, someone who is exploring Christianity for the first time, or someone who is skeptical but curious. We simply ask that you come with an open mind.

What is the Christian Reformed Church?

The CRC is a Protestant denomination with roots in the Dutch Reformed tradition and the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. It holds to the historic Christian faith and emphasizes the authority of Scripture, Reformed theology, and the importance of Christian community and education. You can learn more on our About Us page.

Can my children come?

Absolutely — children are an important part of our congregation. We have Sunday School classes for all ages (11:00 AM), Children's Church during the main service (for ages 4–10), and a nursery for infants and toddlers. Families are always welcome.

Do I have to give money?

No. Offering time happens during the service, but it is only for members and regular attenders who wish to participate. As a visitor, you are under no obligation to give anything. Please simply enjoy the service as our guest.

Can I take Communion?

The Lord's Supper at Centrepointe is open to all baptized believers who are members in good standing of a Christian church and who examine their own hearts before participating. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, you are welcome to let the elements pass by — there is no obligation or pressure.

How do I get more connected?

The best way to connect is to stay for coffee after the service and introduce yourself. You can also speak with our welcome team, fill in a connection card available in the sanctuary, or contact us directly. We will make sure you find your way into the community.
